    Swanwick Junction - end of line at Greenhill [Midland Railway Trust] {new entry - existing facility}
    On occasional event weekends (diesel gala and 1960s weekends being "possibles") a shuttle service may operate over this short section of the former Midland Swanwick Colliery branch, when advertised.

    Moor Road (Leeds) station - Balm Road loop [Middleton Railway]
    On the weekend of the railway's Autumn Gala, usually held towards the end of September, and the Gala usually held in June, trains have used this section, some trains being freight trains carrying passengers. The railway is authorised to operate passenger trains over this line on a limited number of occasions each year.

    Aylesbury Vale Junction - Quainton Road
    On Spring and August Bank Holiday Mondays a shuttle service of trains between Aylesbury and Quainton Road used this section.
    2012 dates: 7 May, 27 August
    Schedule: 1000 from Aylesbury and then hourly until 1700, returning 30 mins later

    Downpatrick Loop Platform - King Magnus's Halt ("King's Halt") - present end of line towards Ballydugan (Ringreagh) [Downpatrick & County Down Railway]

  • For Halloween Weekend, trains used this section (south line) (instead of the Inch Abbey line).
    2012 dates: 27, 28 and 31 October 2012
    Schedule: weekend: trains between 1400 and 1500; weekday: trains between 1700 and 2000.
  • For Christmas service ("The Lapland Express") trains ran to Inch Abbey and back, then back to the Loop Platform by a short section of the south line.
    2012 dates: SSuO 1 to 23 December 2012
    Schedule: 1400 from Downpatrick and about every 45 minutes to 1700
