Ashford International: junction with Maidstone Relief line - junction with main line (via Maidstone lines) (196) WA03
When this entry (which had but a borderline claim to inclusion) first appeared in 2002, most trains between the Maidstone line and Ashford International station had been diverted via the new Maidstone Relief line to platforms 5/6. Whether trains use the Maidstone lines or relief line can be established from their platforming at Ashford International: trains with platforms 1 or 2 cannot use the Relief line - other trains must.
